Sep 03, 2012 Haven't used Windows for a while, but am now. I was looking around on ways to improve audio latency in Traktor on Windows 7. I know there was a post on optimizing latency for Traktor ect, but that was a while ago. I found this post specific to Windows 7 and thought I'd share it with all yous. I like this post for being in depth, but also very easy to read and follow along. May 03, 2011 Latency is, put as simply as possible, the delay between something happening and it becoming apparent that it has happened. In the audio world, it’s the time difference between you pressing a button and the sound that button makes becoming audible, and it’s measured in milliseconds (ms). It stands to reason that the more latency.

Can't Adjust Latency Traktor Pro Free
Hello, I have a Nurmark mixtrack pro + virtual DJ. But I have alot of latency problems. I tried latency settings from auto to 256 (5ms) with and without safe mode. Also I switched from optimized for quality to latency. I use advanced stretching. But nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?

Does it improve if you unplug the controller and test it with just mouse/keyboard?
Well … going from auto to 5ms is going the wrong direction if latency is your problem. What you want to do is EXTEND the latency setting to a higher number of ms. Make a big jump higher and if it’s gone, then start babystepping back until it occurs again. You’ll have found the best setting your system can handle.
I am not sure what you mean by stretching, but if it involves lots of processor-heavy audio manipulation, I can imagine you get problems. Since you don’t mention what kind of laptop/computer you are using not much I can say to that end of the equation.
Finally, I do assume you have the latest updated (audio) drivers installed?
On my windows 8.1 laptop, i run VDJ 8 at around 10ms latency through my Focusrite 2i4 with the ASIO drivers for it (at 24bit, 96KHz) – with VDJ set to:
SAMPLE RATE: 96000
LATENCY: “Automatic (288)”
ultralatency off
overclock on
and all the quality settings on maxThese may not be the best settings for you, but they work for me.. 🙂
And I can’t find “Advanced Stretching – or anything to do with stretching – anywhere??
If on Windows:
Check your USB drivers – make sure they are up to date, re-install the drivers for your soundcard (whilst it is plugged in) and then only use it on that one USB port – it does matter. And then reset the settings in VDJ.
If you are on a Mac:
Install any relevant Core Audio drivers (if applicable) and reset the settings in VDJ.
If that doesn’t sort it, I don’t know…
And which version of VDJ are on?? I’m on the latest update of 8 🙂
i have a Denon MC3000 controller what version of virtual Dj it work with can you help?
hi guys im having some problem in set up MC3000 with Traktor Pro i can only only listen to one channel on the Headphone what i am doing wrong?
Don’t know too much about audio settings in VDJ, but is sure sounds like something is set wrong there.
Howdy, Jonas – You will get a more positive response by creating your own topic rather than adding unrelated questions to an existing thread. The “new post” thingy is at the bottom of the forum page where you would want to post it. Hope that helps.

Virtual Dj 7 try these
Sound Card 512(11ms)
Safe Mode should be unchecked
Optimize for Quality
Master Tempo (I chose Purescratch no master tempo)
48Khz Conversion Faster ResamplingVirtual Dj 8 try these
Performance
Samplerate 41000
latency 512(11ms)
ultralatency no
overclock no
pitchquality 2
scratchfilter 9Is that sample rate 44100 not 41000 ???
Didn’t know that 41000 was a standard.. 😉
